I've never been a big fan of orchids. They've always seemed to me so common since everyone loves them and everyone has them. I got this one totally by accident, my mum got it as a present and since she is not really into such plants she gave it away to me.
So there I was, with at the time flowerless, a bit of weird ugly thing (obviously I got it when it lost his charm and its spectacular flowers). It even crossed my mind that I should just threw it away, but longs story short I left it be.
It gives me a big pleasure, looking at it right now, in full bloom. I still don't know much about ways I should care about it. I water it from time to time at that's all, but the plant repaid me as beautifully as it could. I honestly think that it would be a nice idea to get myself another one:)
Nowadays I am quite sure that the commonness of it doesn't make it less beautiful and perfect. Having a closer look at it, I am quite sure that it is unique and extraordinary flower even though that identical ones you can find in every household or garden shop (and supermarket too;). This duality of its nature troubles me a little, and I am a little bit afraid that the only thing I can do about it is just admiring it, as it is right now...
